Once upon a time, I was lost in a daydream. From nowhere, an image appeared in my mind’s eye that fascinated me. It was of a single swordsman, his back to the locked gates of an ancient city, confronting a strange and terrifying army of unnatural creations by himself. The image struck me so intensely, I was compelled to ask myself question after question.
In imagining the answers to those questions, a new and fascinating world’s history came into being. These are the stories that began to build that world.
